Library Information: Public Meetings Rooms

We encourage public use of our facilities, and the library has a meeting room you may wish to use for a business or group meeting, public hearing, or a private party.

Although library programs must have precedence in the use of these facilities, there are many times when the rooms stand open and available for use.

There are two rooms available for public use at Antigo's library:

  • The McGinley Room -- reservations required
  • a small conference room (capacity of 6)

  1. Read the Meeting Room Policy to see if your group is eligible.
  2. Call the Antigo library at 715-623-3724 to determine if the room is available at the time you are interested in.
  3. Print off a copy of the reservation form and bring or FAX it to the library (FAX no. 715-627-2317)

McGinley Room

The McGinley Room has a capacity of 99 with chairs, 150 without chairs. At one end of the room, there is a large projection screen when needed. There are sufficient tables and chairs for almost any kind of event. The room is also furnished with a piano.

At the other end of this room is a doorway to a full-size kitchen, equipped with stove, refrigerator, sink, and lots of counter space. There is even a hatchway between the meeting room and the kitchen.

When not needed by library programs and activities, this room is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, and reservations are required at least three (3) days in advance.

Though a tentative booking may be made by telephone, a booking is not official until the signed “Meeting Room Reservation Form” is received by the library.  Reserving the small conference room within the library does not require the submission of a Meeting Room Reservation Form.

For a schedule of deposits and fees see the Meeting Room Reservation Form. For many groups, there are no fees required.

There is a broad range of equipment available for use/rental as well. For a complete list and costs, if any, see the Meeting Room Reservation Form..

Use of the public meeting rooms at Antigo's library are governed by the library's Facility Use policy. View and read this policy to see if our meeting rooms will suit your needs and if you are eligible. If you do use one of the library's meeting room, you are responsible for its condition and set-up. The policy outlines both your rights and responsibilities.

Small Conference Room

This small room is, indeed, very small. However, it is ideal for small groups (2-4 is ideal) or for those who need to take an exam. No reservation is required for this room, and it is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, if you know that you need to take an exam and really want this room, call ahead and we will hold it for you for a short period of time.

Hours of Availability

The facility is available for use during normal library hours only.  Arrangements can be made to allow groups to occupy the McGinley Room prior to our opening hour of 9 a.m.  However, all meetings/events must conclude 15 minutes prior to the library closing.
